Dabny Art Photography: Seattle Children & Family Photographer

usually i pass on wedding requests to my husband (who specializes in wedding photography!), but i grew up with chris and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to shoot his and laurin’s wedding.. plus i took josh along for back up.   chris and laurin are perfect for each other and it was so fun to photograph their wedding day.  it was a hot day.  like 95 degrees!  the reception was outdoors and started out in full sun, but once the sun went down it was absolutely perfect and made for a gorgeous sunset.  we stole the couple away for a few minutes and got some pictures of them right as the sun was setting.  there also happened to be a putting green right by us and the golfers let us borrow their clubs for minute.  it was very fitting since both chris and laurin love golf and chris actually proposed to laurin on a golf course.   

i shot a wedding with hubs on saturday, and i had so much fun running the photobooth at the reception.  these girls had their poses all picked out and were ready to model!  they were adorable.

bob and jennifer got married on saturday, and i felt so honored to be at their intimate ceremony. jennifer wanted to keep it simple and only invited immediate family and a few friends. before the ceremony we went down to carillon point in kirkland to get some portraits on the water front. it was one of the hottest days of the year, but they were troopers and it was sweet watching how emotional it was for them during that time right before their wedding.

josh photographed a 50th anniversary that night and it was also our 6th wedding anniversary! it was wedding/anniversary central around here! we’ll probably celebrate in September when wedding season slows down a little bit!

i love to photograph one year olds. they are so new to the world but finally able to walk around, exploring on their own making it fun for me to follow them and capture their cute expressions. ella was such a fun little model in all her wardrobe changes. it was a hot and humid night (for seattle), but she didn’t seem to mind one bit.

wedding season is in full swing and it has been a blast photographing weddings with josh. angie and dan rocked. angie was a beautiful bride and they were both so fun and easy to photograph.

this was a really fun wedding that i shot with joshua gene photography (aka my husband). josh and malory were a lot of fun and so was the whole bridal party. they wanted to do portraits before the ceremony, so we headed down to the beach. they were up for anything, which was a great, especially since malory wanted the girls to jump off a log in their heels! the ceremony and reception were in marysville, wa at josh’s aunt’s house on a cliff overlooking the pudget sound. it was gorgeous.
