i got to take pictures of baby jack again.  he is a little slice of heaven.

baby austin was so fun to take pictures of that i had a really hard time leaving.  i could have stayed all day, rocking him to sleep and putting him in all kinds of fun poses.  he is such a sweet baby and makes the cutest little sounds.  congratulations mindy, darren, and big brother trevor!

this handsome little guy was born yesterday, and i was so lucky to be present at his birth.  yesterday was also the birthday of my little guy who turned 6.  it was a very emotional day for me having my baby turn another year older, witnessing a labor and delivery, and being at the same hospital where my girls were born.  although i found myself having sympathy back labor and doing lots of deep breathing, it was much easier being the photographer than the one giving birth!

congratulations vanessa & eric and the two big sisses!  thank you for letting me be present for jack’s birth.  it was amazing!

breckyn is such a cute and smart little baby, and she is very good at mimicking.  she copied all the silly faces and sounds that her mom and i made to try to get her to smile.  needless to say, i have many, many pictures of her sticking out her tongue! 

even though she absolutely hated being in my basket, i did get one picture of her before she started bawling, and it is my favorite one from the session!

livy is 10 months now.  i feel like going into mourning over my baby turning one in two months.  at least part of my job is holding and cuddling babies!  i snapped some pictures of livy today to capture her personality at this age.  as you can see, she just sat and played in her crib the whole time.  it was so nice keeping her contained while i shot away.  i could seriously do a whole photo session with a baby in a crib! 

violet was so fun.  she is at that perfect stage (for a photographer) where she can sit up but can’t quite crawl yet.   plus she was up for anything.  sit on a hard rock?  no problem!  sit in wet sand?  sure!  sit in weeds?  ok!  do all that and still be happy?  gladly!  she was awesome.

i LOVED this session.  the location was beautiful, the lighting was perfect, and the family was adorable.

this little girl was an absolute doll.

at the end of the session, she plopped down in the sand and play with it for a good 15 minutes.  we took advantage of it and got some shots of mom and dad!

these kids have changed so much since i photographed them last.  just take a look!  they are just as cute and fun as ever, and even have a baby brother now!

with the super hot weather we’ve been having, it was a perfect tonight to take olive outside for some pictures.  she doesn’t usually sleep in the evenings (which is a very good thing, so she will sleep at night!), but she was so relaxed in the heat and comfy basket that she fell asleep for me for a minute.  then she woke up and wanted to eat, so the photo shoot only lasted 5 minutes! 

i can’t believe olive is already two months, but at the same it seems like we have had her forever.  i’m sure all you moms know that feeling.
